About the role

The proposed role covers Global Payments Solutions (GPS) cash management products. The incumbent will work closely with the e-channel product executive to prioritize GPS channel investments and work closely with regional product executives to execute and commercialize product strategy.
In our current environment the GPS Product Management operating model is regional with a requirement for a Global governance structure. No formal global functional leadership currently exists to direct the global programs, act as a focal point for global customer group programs and develop a more cohesive global product strategy.

This provides an opportunity to introduce Global leadership, both functional and direct, where the incumbent will be responsible for evolving, executing and maintaining a more defined global PCM product strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • As a team lead for payments, lead a team of payment product managers and subject matter experts to execute and drive product initiatives
  • Help foster a collaborative and high-performing team within payments.
  • Drive effective interaction across organizational boundaries, including sales, client services, marketing, operations, IT, Legal, and Compliance to deliver optimized customer experiences.
  • Define and deliver product planning discipline and infrastructure \xe2\x80\x93 gaining buy-in from senior product managers across the region
  • Provide strategic vision and product initiatives for a portfolio of products to manage, including the P&L of each product, to help drive and manage the Payment Products P&L (Payables & Receivables)
  • Drive product related sales/marketing collateral and manage directly or indirectly, which adapts to a complex environment in constant evolution
  • Provide expertise and knowledge to regional product management executives across several geographies to execute our product programs in support of our client groups.
  • Develop and maintain good contact with the external GPS market, e.g., partner organizations, industry associations, customers, competitors, regulators etc. to ensure that our strategy remains relevant and effective.
  • Act as focal point for department\xe2\x80\x99s product plans and communications
  • Embrace and instill continuous improvement methodology

  • Making recommendations to, obtaining input from, and validating with Senior Product Managers and Leaders and relevant stakeholders
  • Represent the interest of team at steering committees and working groups

Create a Global Product organization which will encompass Program Management functions to consolidate activities and tasks which distract product managers from their primary responsibility of managing their product portfolios, creating product extensions and developing new products outside of global programs. * Ensure that all employees are aware of and effectively identify and manage applicable money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), sanctions and reputational risks.
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education to degree-level, and proven and progressive experience in product management, operations or technology.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in commercial and business management either in product management, operations or IT with marketing a plus.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional or design teams.
  • Experience leading change and inspiring teams.
  • Experience in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent technical background.
  • Preferably experienced in Payments and other equivalent Cash Management core business lines.
  • Demonstrably successful project manager in the Transaction Banking industry. Strong process reengineering/business transformation experience.
  • Proven ability to create an environment that fosters learning, teaching, growth, risk-taking, and innovation.
  • Solid understanding of digital and/or self-service platforms.
  • Strong background in product development, or operations with hands-on technology or business transformation experience.
  • Familiar with current and future industry trends relating to product development.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively work with multiple business partners to develop and commercialize product propositions.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous people management would be preferred, but not required
