You'll work closely with the Senior Manager of Products, and leadership to steer the product direction and prioritize impactful initiatives. With your extensive market knowledge and experience, you'll make critical decisions that shape Vancitys product portfolio.This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work on-site at least once a week.A typical day would involve:

  • Pricing recommendations with competitive market scans and execution of pricing grid changes with the Product and Pricing subcommittee of Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO)
  • Focus on both strategic and executional aspects, with an emphasis on leadership, high-level decision-making, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager and pod team in:
  • Defining and refining the product vision
  • Analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor landscapes to inform product decisions
  • Prioritizing product features, releases, and improvements based on business impact, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure the product strategy aligns with company objectives. They can also communicate the product roadmap and updates to executives.
  • Work closely with ITS, design, marketing, sales, customer support, and other teams, ensuring alignment and smooth execution of product initiatives.
  • Engage with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback, validate assumptions, and adjust the product strategy accordingly.
You have:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Computer science, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees such a Masters is a bonus.
  • 510+ years of experience in product management or related fields
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery models.
  • Financial institution and/or banking experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with ambiguity, uncertainty, and changing business conditions.
  • Strong negotiation and collaboration skills, with an ability to compromise when making tough product decisions.
  • A growth mindset and desire to continually learn, adapt, evolve, and contribute to the product management practice at Vancity.

  • A self-starter you have a bias towards action and are motivated by getting things done. You have a habit of uncovering opportunities through curiosity and testing new ideas to drive results.

Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity.
