You review the stations productions and provide feedback to teams and individuals. You are a well-informed person who follows the news and developing stories. A large part of your role involves managing issues and answering questions. You are a coach, a leader and the rudder that keeps everyone rowing in the right direction. You must also be a good listener and open to suggestions.You will be responsible for supervising the resources needed by journalists and other Manitoba staff to do their jobs. More specifically, you will lead a team or subgroup in planning, conceiving, gathering and producing content for all our programs and platforms. With the Senior Content Manager, there is a regular and ongoing requirement for you to plan, direct and co-ordinate the work of others.You will successfully carry out your role by assigning and vetting stories and program ideas and concepts. You will assign, research, gather, write and edit. You will also be actively involved in training and developing new journalists.You must play a team supervisory role, which includes responsibility for achieving program or platform goals and objectives, with the continuous requirement to focus on details of a program and/or platform to ensure that content is of the highest quality. You must also comply with CBC/Radio-Canadas Journalistic Standards and Practices.
