About us:

Inproheat Industries Ltd. is a Western Canadian-based company with a wide variety of specialties. We are an OEM designer and manufacturer of environmentally compliant submerged combustion systems SUBCOM www.subcom.ca coffee oxidizing equipment, air heating equipment and heat-treat furnaces. We also supply a wide range of wholesale level refractory / chemical materials and products, thermal NOx equipment, industrial pumps, heat exchangers, crushers, and many other fine products used in the foundry, mining, and manufacturing sectors.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Vancouver team. This is a hands-on role responsible for leading the Process Engineering scope of the design, procurement, and manufacturing of industrial process solutions with a focus on heat transfer and combustion. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Lead the design and specification of industrial process systems, emphasizing heat transfer, fluid handling, and energy efficiency. Evaluate client requirements and develop innovative process solutions, including detailed engineering documentation (P&IDs, PFDs, heat & mass balances, equipment specifications). Act as Process technical lead on projects, coordinating with designers, fabricators, suppliers, and clients to deliver high-quality results. Conduct site visits for system assessments, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Mentor and support junior engineers and designers to build team capability. Contribute to proposals, project planning, and client presentations. Stay current with industry standards, codes, technologies, and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures and company quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.

About you:

We are looking for an individual with:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, Mineral Processing. Candidates with degrees in other disciplines with a strong Process understanding of and background in industrial processes might be considered. Registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Minimum 10 years of process engineering experience in resource industries or industrial equipment design/manufacturing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively and independently.
Additionally, the below are nice to have, but not required:

Experience working with or in EPC/EPCM environments. Hands-on experience in hydrometallurgy and/or potash production processes. Operational experience in industrial plant environments. Proficiency with process simulation software (MetSim preferred). Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, CSA, etc.). Familiarity with specifying valves, equipment, and accessories. Proposal preparation experience. ISO 9001 experience.

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
