Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Process Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.

Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will support large scale brownfield offshore energy projects and will be seated in our St. John\xe2\x80\x99s Newfoundland office.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and met
• Preparing detailed Cost, Time & Resource estimates based on client supplied work scopes
• Ensure design, analysis and specifications are in accordance with applicable codes, governing statutory regulations, Wood procedures, offshore installation specific design philosophies and meet project objectives and industry best practice
• Liaison with third party contractors and vendors in the specification of equipment
• Operate in a multidiscipline environment to complete large scale projects for our clients
• Adhering to all HSEQ requirements within the Process discipline in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
• Originating and checking of documentation including but not limited to P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s, Cause & Effects, technical specifications, data sheets and reports
• Equipment sizing including PSV\xe2\x80\x99s, control valves, pumps, compressors and heat exchangers
• Travelling offshore as required for surveys and construction support

Skills / Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Engineering Degree and Professional Engineer registered (or eligible for registration) with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Relevant Technical diploma from a post-secondary institution will also be considered
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in utilization of Process Design software including Aspen Hysys and Flaresim
