Senior Process Engineer Petro Sep Corporation is a world leader in providing innovative engineered solutions for different industrial processes in mining, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, food and beverages. For over 20 years, we have studied and customized hundreds of custom membrane applications for separating solvents, and most of them have a payback period of less than 2 years! This Senior Process Engineer position is an opportunity requiring a wide range of skills and experience encompassing all phases of plant engineering design and operation. Position Summary: The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of new processes and technologies. They will lead the process work on studies and detailed engineering projects. Highlights of Responsibilities include: \xc2\xb7 Lead process work on studies and detailed engineering projects. \xc2\xb7 Provide process engineering and technical expertise for clients. \xc2\xb7 Equipment sizing. \xc2\xb7 Perform Hydraulic Calculations. \xc2\xb7 Heat and mass balance preparation \xc2\xb7 Develop process design criteria, PFD and P&IDs as a basis of the process design \xc2\xb7 Participate in HAZOPs \xc2\xb7 Support and lead Client commissioning and start-up programs. \xc2\xb7 Write detailed engineering reports and briefs. \xc2\xb7 Participate in project cost estimates. \xc2\xb7 Participate in field engineering assignments. \xc2\xb7 Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure a timely and accurate flow of design information, while ensuring departmental and client standards are maintained. \xc2\xb7 Develop and recommend improvements in design standards to lower costs, improve work quality and facilitate plant maintenance. \xc2\xb7 Provide operators with information and training to help them perform their jobs and make necessary corrective process decisions. \xc2\xb7 Identify cost reduction and quality improvement opportunities. \xc2\xb7 Create a positive culture through motivation and engagement. \xc2\xb7 Inspire team to exceed expectations through continuous improvement. \xc2\xb7 Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues. Other Duties and Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Keep informed regarding the industry and government standards and specifications. \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with all staff on quality and improvement opportunities. \xc2\xb7 Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Must have 10+ years of process engineering experience. \xc2\xb7 Experience in EPC environment would be an asset. \xc2\xb7 University degree in Chemical Engineering. \xc2\xb7 Professional designation in Ontario is an asset. \xc2\xb7 Experience in hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing is a significant asset. \xc2\xb7 Familiar with PLC/DCS control systems. \xc2\xb7 Strong thought leadership with the ability to independently take calculated risks. \xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills for interactions with vendors, customers, internal departments and cross-functional teams. \xc2\xb7 Training and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing are desirable. \xc2\xb7 Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker Job Type: Full-time Benefits:
