JOB OVERVIEW
This is an afternoon/evening shift position. Responsibilities:Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance during engine strip and build on the CFM56 engine line
Supports the powerplant engineers within the production-oriented delivery cell (POD) through technical guidance on snags, workscope upgrades, and other technical issues
Responsible for addressing and resolving Material Review Board (MRB) requests and other engineering snags respecting engines operations schedule and turnaround time deadlines
Communicate technical issues with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) as well as internal and external customers
As required, lead investigations into non-quality, warranty, or engine related events and prepare technical reports and root cause analysis
Align the Work Order Scope (WOS) documentation in line with FTAI technical specification
Provide support to the configuration and methods engineer during the publication review process and PMA/DER reviews
Develop engineering procedures and technical instructions (TIs)
Evaluate and create engineering disposition procedures (EDPs)
Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or other relevant engineering degree
A minimum of 10 years of technical experience, in a similar position or equivalent experience, with aircraft engine development, aero derivative engines, or maintenance, repair, and overhaul of engine components
Familiarity with the regulations (FARs & CARs), service bulletins (SBs), and airworthiness directives (ADs)
Experience in engine ATA 72. Familiarity with the components, configuration, and functionality of the following: life limited parts (LLPs), fan frame, high pressure compressor (HPC), high pressure turbine (HPT), low pressure turbine (LPT), exhaust, line replaceable units (LRUs) & accessories
Experience with aircraft propulsion and engine systems and troubleshooting,
Test cell experience is considered an asset
Holds, eligible for, or work towards, Power Plant Design Engineer (DE)/Design Engineer Specialist (DES) designation, Transport Canada (TC) or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) delegate/designee or Design Approval Representative (DAR) or Designated Engineering Representative (DER) is an asset.

Proven ability to conduct investigations & root cause analysis
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office
Fluent in French and English
