We are currently looking for a Senior Planner, Digital Marketing to join our team in Mississauga, ON.

This role will oversee all activities relating to the Digital ecosystem and platforms for the INFINITI brand. The Senior Planner, Digital Marketing will lead external supporting agencies to fulfil the mandate of establishing a leading digital presence for the INFINITI brand in Canada.

Job functions Include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all activities involved with digital platforms and innovation projects for the brand. Responsible for all web and social media project management, and working with/and managing internal stakeholders, suppliers and vendors involved in any digital activities (i.e. model year updates, campaigns, etc). Platforms include, but are not limited to the website, social media, SEO/SEM, Retailer E-commerce/Web Certification, virtual showroom and new content creation [i.e. photo or video production]. Also includes vendor supervision to ensure timely, efficient and effective vendor performance.
  • Lead the data-driven marketing approach for brand. Set targets and analyze digital and media metrics for the purpose of understanding the effectiveness of all marketing website activity as it relates to attribution, engagement and conversion. Work with brand marketing team and agencies to adjust business-marketing plans based on data.
  • Oversee the Lead Management, Website Certification and E-Commerce programs for INFINITI Canada. Responsible for developing and sustaining programs to enhance the customer journey online, plus oversee the data reporting for actionable changes. Requires collaboration with global and internal stakeholders and management of external vendors.
  • Oversee digital marketing operations budgets and financial processes including dealer website program management. Includes preparation and presenting of shopping baskets to Executives. Oversight and chair of agency status meetings and reporting to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge: College or university degree. Minimum 5 to 7 years of marketing experience including related experience in digital & social media. Automotive experience a plus, but not mandatory. Solid understanding of digital strategy, e-commerce and large scale digital innovation, reporting and analytics. Ability to multi-task and manage agency interactions. Experience in digital platform launch programs an asset but not mandatory. Outstanding project and budget management skills. Excellent oral, presentation and writing skills are essential. Strong computer acumen. Bilingual would be an asset, but not mandatory.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal communication in this position is very important. Candidate will interact not only with management and executive management, but also with a series of vendors.
  • Complexity and Problem-Solving: The position requires very strong analytical skills and creativity to handle complex and ambiguous situations. For example, the incumbent may be asked to conduct a deep-dive on why a particular segment is rising and how NISSAN can benefit from it. The incumbent will need to pull together various data points through multiple sources of information. Further, the incumbent will be required to analyze the data, come to a conclusion and make recommendations. This task would need to be completed quickly. Timely analysis and reports is essential.
  • Sensory and Physical Demands: This position requires a moderate amount of sensory effort including listening to callers, instructions and discussions at meetings; analyzing budget/expense data and requests/inquiries/concerns of field staff/dealers. Computer work will be part of the activities.
  • Decision-making/Impact of the Position: This position requires the ability to make numerous decisions on a daily basis, with careful consideration for impact to the brand and business, pulling in outside stakeholders to input as required. Performance of the website(s) and the lead management process have a significant, direct impact on the sales and marketing business, while Social Media can impact both the Customer Quality and PR aspects of the brand.
  • People Management: Multiple supporting agencies where this position will be primary stakeholder.
