: Our client's mechanical team specializes in pumping and piping systems, offering opportunities to develop technical expertise in applications such as mine dewatering, slurry pumping, and fuel systems, while also playing a key role in commissioning and troubleshooting. The role involves participating in engineering, technology selection, and project execution across mining, energy, biofuels, and heavy industry sectors. The candidate will also help identify business opportunities, draft proposals, manage projects, and maintain strong client relationships within the greater Montreal area. Key responsibilities: Lead design studies, detailed engineering, and technical reports. Oversee design plans, specifications, and ensure compliance with codes and standards. Provide technical recommendations and make decisions on complex issues. Mentor less experienced engineers, manage work teams, and ensure projects stay within budget and schedule. Assist with system commissioning, technical audits, and proposal drafting. Requirements University degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and membership with the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec. 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for heavy industry, energy, or mining sectors. Proficiency in French, with expertise in pumping, piping, and stress analysis. Experience in project management, cost estimation, and technical troubleshooting. Availability for short- and long-term travel assignments. Valid Class 5 driver's license. Assets: Knowledge of numerical simulation software (e.g., AFT Fathom, PIPE-FLO) and bilingualism.
