Hiring Immediately: Two Pipeline/Mechanical Engineers
The Opportunity:
You will be joining a small, dynamic team of highly responsive, innovative engineers tasked with providing our clients with the best expertise and service in oil & gas pipeline/facility design, construction and project management.
The successful candidate will be motivated, highly independent, and flexible to serve the needs of the various projects as circumstances dictate. You like working in a team environment and will be comfortable dealing with both internal and external clients and contractors at all levels. You like the challenge of a fast paced, unstructured work environment and welcome responsibility.

Previous experience managing multiple projects/initiatives and communicating project goals, objectives and accomplishments to all levels of an organization
Proven engineering expertise and competency
Lead technical role for the establishment of design specification and the procurement of equipment and materials
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design of pipeline and/or related facilities.
Project scoping, engineering design and material specifications and selection for mid-stream oil and gas pipelines/facilities under relevant code and design criteria
Determining project costs, timelines and construction plans for specific projects as required
Preparation of Design Basis Memorandum (DBM)
P&ID design support and participation in HAZOP/HAZID to capture mechanical design implications.
Application of client engineering specifications and piping specs
Authenticating engineered plans
Support 3D model generation and engineering drawing preparation including plot plans, general arrangement, isometrics and line lists.
Routing and hydraulic simulations
Regulatory application preparation
Material take-offs, bills of material, technical data sheets, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document review.
Construction work packages
Construction support
Maintaining project schedules by monitoring project progress, risks, costs, and scope to ensure capital project/program deadlines are fulfilled.
Occasional travel to different project sites
Working with, and mentoring, junior engineering and other technical staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Civil engineering and professional engineering status
Minimum 8 -10 years of related experience
Member of APEGA (other jurisdictions an asset)
Familiarity with engineering standards relevant to the oil and gas pipeline industry (including CSA, ASME, API, and Alberta Pipeline Rules, etc.)
Experience with Canadian jurisdictions and their various acts and regulations
