Body + Soul Fitness is growing and looking for a talented Senior PHP Developer to join our amazing team. You will lead the development and maintenance of new and existing web and mobile applications to support the effective operations of the Body + Soul Fitness team.

Since 2001, Body + Soul Fitness has offered personal training, rehabilitation, and physical therapy services. Our goal is to create a unique, personalized health and fitness experience for our community to ensure each client lives the happy, healthy, and active life of their dreams. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a key role in developing the technology to support our strategic business objectives, the delivery of positive experiences for our team and members, and are critical to the success of Body + Soul Fitness.

Job Duties + Responsibilities:

Develop web and mobile applications in collaboration with other team members to support the effective operations of the Body + Soul Fitness team, and to support the delivery of incredible experiences to our members. Write clean, maintainable code while following best practices in software development. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Build additional features and functionality on to existing software applications in use with Body + Soul Fitness. Develop applications based on UI specifications, and other documented specifications. Develop analytics reports and dashboards that retrieve information from multiple data sources (such as company databases, social media accounts, Office 365, Google Analytics, and more), and displays them in a well-organized format to support business decision making of the Body + Soul Fitness team. Integrate with 3rd party applications using their API and accompanying documentation. Thoroughly test applications developed to ensure bugs are eliminated. Setup and run automated unit testing. Ensure the security and safeguard all data of Body + Soul Fitness.

Qualifications:

8 years of experience and an expert in PHP. 8 years of experience with SQL. 8 years of experience with Linux. 2 years of experience with Javascript. Experience setting up and managing servers that will run and host apps, code, database, development environments in cloud platforms such as Azure. Experience with other languages and platforms including, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap. Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs (Google Analytics, Meta, payment gateways, etc.) Experience with system and API design. Knowledge of version control systems like Git. Experience setting up, designing, and running automated testing. Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments. Experience in building and maintaining Wordpress websites preferred but not required. Strong general computer skills. Ability to interact and maintain cooperative relationships with all members and team members. Experience leading other developers.
This position will start off as a part time contract position with the possibility of moving to full time. Compensation to be determined based on skill and experience.
