Duties: Senior Pharmacy Assistant: candidate will be in charge of contacting patient that a specialty med is ready to be dispensed. Obtaining all required insurance aspects. Arranging for shipping/delivery directly to patients. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent - Certification as a pharmacy technician - Previous experience working in a retail pharmacy - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks - Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work effectively as part of a team As a Senior Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include first line communication with all patients, assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing, adjudication to insurance, arranging delivery addresses and preference, providing excellent customer service. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a pharmacy technician or assistant. You should also have strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical adjudication.
