Department Overview

The Digital Channels is one of our key distribution channels. The Digital Channels has a global mandate and an enterprise-wide strategy for the Digital Channels across TDBG. The aim of the channel is to deliver an exceptional, seamless and effortless experience for customers and clients who manage their finances online. The Digital Channels is accountable for the digital strategy, customer experience and distribution of products and services across businesses.

Digital Channels Insights provides actionable insights through data analysis across several lines of business and functional groups including but not limited to product development, project management, digital marketing, and several other strategic partners.

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

  • Undergraduate university degree in business, statistics or analytically-based discipline, or equivalent experience; having a post graduate degree would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience and proficiency with Web Analytics Reporting Tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Coremetrics or WebTrends.
  • Experienced in the use of industry leading web optimization software, such as Adobe Target, VWO, Optimizely, or equivalent.
  • Experienced in the use of Segmentation software such as Adobe Audience Manager or Google Marketing Platform (formerly DoubleClick).
  • Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office Software for the creation of management reports, presentations, and analysis.
  • Deep knowledge of digital experience and knowledge of segmentation and behavioral targeting.
  • Conceptual thinker with excellent analytical, logical, and organizational skills.
  • A strong focus on attention to detail to produce high quality, accurate and timely deliverables to meet deadlines are also required.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as exercising strong interpersonal skills to work well in a team environment as a contributing member of the team.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests / multiple tasks in deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written business communications skills; experience delivering written & verbal presentations of analyses & recommendations to senior management

Job Details

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Personalization, the Senior Personalization Analyst will be responsible for understanding customers online behaviours, recognizing their digital needs and goals, and measuring their success.

The Personalization Analyst will champion and lead online Personalization initiatives, including A/B and multi-variant testing, segmentation and targeting programs. The position will ensure the programs deliver value and improve the client experience across all TD web and mobile properties. As well, this role will plan, prioritize and manage the execution of effective and actionable Personalization initiatives across the sites as well as oversee the effective measurement and reporting of activities. The position also works with business stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate test campaigns and provide feedback.

Additional accountabilities include the following:
  • Analyze and report on metrics, identify trends, issues and opportunities to improve online sales, site performance and overall user experience and will ensure the value of digital data and insights is well understood by the Digital Channels and its key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the strategic thinking and roadmap development of the Personalization program, analyze results and form recommendations that inform business strategy and transformation.
  • Provide Subject-Matter-Expertise to create and execute a world-class online Personalization strategy for TDBG, ensuring it evolves over time to reflect the changing needs of the business.
  • Responsible for the effectiveness of Personalization projects to deliver business value and improve the customer experience, as well as identifying opportunities for future site improvements.
  • Engage with key stakeholders in an agile work environment to define and manage initiatives through the definition of KPIs & website metrics, as well as reporting requirements by engaging with partners in and outside of the channel.
  • Analyze data and reports in order to identify issues as well as revenue generating and cost reduction opportunities, which improve online sales, site performance and overall user experience, ultimately leading to an increase in ROI.
  • Prepare A/B & multi-variant test, segmentation and behavioral targeting plans, manage execution of the plans, analyze results and recommend actions.
  • Identify trends, draw conclusions and make actionable recommendations to key stakeholders within the organization.
  • Provide value added analysis to answer questions and anticipate the needs of the Digital Channels teams.
  • Create presentations for senior management that clearly and concisely present analysis and recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to drive new initiatives that contribute to business goals
