Description :Senior Permitting Specialist

We\xe2\x80\x99re building a culture where people can grow their careers and are challenged to solve our client\xe2\x80\x99s toughest environmental problems.About the RoleReporting to the Senior Manager, the Senior Permitting Specialist is responsible to provide leadership and management of projects and programs for Ensero clients, as well as provide senior technical direction on projects.Key Responsibilities

• Provides direction and activities related to planning studies, environmental assessments and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients.
• Lead all activities related to environmental permitting applications and studies for Ensero projects and clients.
• Develop and articulate permitting approach for clients and internal project teams.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams and proactively identify opportunities to improve project environmental design aspects and streamline regulatory processes.
• Provide corporate technical support to Ensero projects with regard to environmental compliance, governance and permitting.
• Interface and communicate with various levels of government, stakeholders and communities to advance permitting activities.
• Represent Ensero Solutions and our clients in regulatory and community meetings, workshops and events and oversee the preparation of presentation materials.
• Keep abreast of existing and pending legislation and regulation changes which may impact Ensero projects or our client\xe2\x80\x99s projects. Coordinate and disseminate regulatory information within the company.
• Develop professional and business relationships across the industry to better advance Ensero\xe2\x80\x99s growth and strategic initiatives.
• Supports the writing and development of client proposals and explores business development opportunities in mining and other sectors.
• Conducts senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
• Supports risk analysis with project management.
• Mentors and leads team members including direction, coaching, and professional development.
• Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance.
• Completes other projects, reporting and tasks as assigned

About You

• University degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 7 years of environmental permitting experience.
• A recognized professional designation is considered an asset (R.P. Bio, P.Ag, P.Geo, P.Eng)
• Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting setting.
• Experience in building relationships and engaging with First Nations and all levels of Government.
• Knowledge of and experience in Yukon\xe2\x80\x99s and BC\xe2\x80\x99s (and other jurisdictions) impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
