Do people come to you because you "just get it"? Are you a natural problem solver? Are you the kind of person who can bring the best out of people, and has the moral courage to tell someone they're sucking the life out of others? Are you someone who shows up, lives to support others, and thrives in a fast-moving environment?
At the Cherubini Group of Companies, we're looking for a Senior People & Culture Lead who's driven by empathy, who moves with purpose, and builds trust through consistency, clarity, and care.
This is more than an HR job. It's about people. It's about culture. It's about making work better.
Who You Are
You build strong connections -- people feel seen, heard, and valued around you.
You inspire and uplift others as a coach, mentor, and trusted advisor.
You thrive under pressure, staying calm, focused, and solution oriented.
You leave your ego (and your baggage) at the door, and you show up for others.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our People & Culture team, you'll be at the heart of what makes our company thrive - our people. You'll lead with compassion and clarity, supporting individuals and teams through growth, change, and challenge. You'll be trusted to:
Build strong relationships with employees, leaders, and stakeholders across all companies within the Group
Serve as a go-to resource for employee relations, performance coaching, and engagement
Mentor team members and model a people-first approach to HR
Drive recruitment and onboarding processes that are as human as they are efficient
Lead the planning and delivery of employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications
Help manage immigration initiatives, audits, and compliance (NSNP, LMIA, AIP)
Provide people insights through reporting, KPIs, and benchmarking
Contribute to policy development and ensure legislative compliance across jurisdictions
Keep things organized, moving forward, and above all, connected
What Makes Us Different
At Cherubini, we don't just build structures - we build culture. We foster an environment where people matter, communication is open, and relationships are everything. When you join our People & Culture team, you'll:
Be part of a collaborative, inclusive culture that values people, relationships, and respect
Take ownership of your work while being supported by a strong team
Grow professionally and contribute to company-wide change
Work in an environment where your work truly matters
Skills and Experience
5+ years of HR experience (construction or trades experience is a plus)
Experience in leadership or mentorship roles
Comfort navigating fast-paced, hands-on environments
Knowledge of employment legislation, immigration programs, and HR best practices
Strength in Microsoft Office, communication tools, and project tracking
Deep alignment with our values:
trust, teamwork, and accountability
If you're the kind of HR leader who believes in people and can bring structure to complexity without losing the human touch, we want to meet you.
