Reporting to the Montney Field Shift Supervisors, the main purpose of the Senior Operator position is to be an extension of the Field Shift Supervisors\xe2\x80\x99 responsibilities in all aspects of Montney Field Operations.This is a 14/14 rotational position with flight coverage and camp accommodation provided.Responsibilities:Primary Operational Responsibilities: * Ensure all Field Operations within the Montney area are operated in accordance with all ConocoPhillips Policies/Procedures and SPIRIT values.

  • The Senior Operator must represent ConocoPhillips Canada best interests in health and safety, production, quality of work, timely work execution, and contractor management.
  • Be the Liaison between and support both Field Operations Staff and Supervision to perform all CPC Initiatives and operational duties.
  • Mentor all Operators in achieving compliance for all Operational and HSE Procedures.
  • Participate in Major Work fronts throughout Montney. These would include Pad/Well Startups, MOC Activities, HAZOPS, Turnarounds, Construction Projects, Completion\xe2\x80\x99s support, and Maintenance activities. Communication between groups and Operators is expected.
  • Work with various groups such as Engineering CMT, Maintenance, RPM and Completions in providing collaborative support in various projects in the Montney Field. This would include field visits and planning meetings for safe and efficient execution and completion.
  • Understand how the Supply Chain system works in respect to using Approved Vendors, cost coding, ordering materials and potential requisition development.
  • Proficient in computer programs/systems that ConocoPhillips uses for performing day to day business. Examples would be but not exclusive; Bluebeam, ITracker, Ignition, Energy Components, SAP etc.
  • General knowledge of all operational aspects of Pads, Wells and Pipelines throughout Montney to provide Operating duties if called upon.
  • Knowledge of our Maintenance system. Working with Planning/Scheduling in determining when work is completed efficiently. Strong knowledge of SAP is required. Review of the backlog
  • Perform DOA duties for Field Supervisor absence. This includes but is not limited to all Maintenance meetings Daily and 7 Day, Plan of the Day meeting with Calgary and Montney staff and chairing morning Stand Up meeting.
  • HSE Responsibilities:
  • Support and follow the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of CPC\'s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the work permit process is followed in accordance with CPC policies and procedures. Ensure that all Life Saving Rules that are associated with the jobs are reviewed.
  • Assist in training and mentoring of new or inexperienced Operators as required.
  • Adhere to all regulatory, corporate, and Montney policies and procedures.
  • Regular field visits to the work sites to audit permit process and ensure workers adhering to the permit details.
  • Review Site Specific Procedures and Policies and make recommendations for change or developing new.
  • Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Lock-Out/Tag-Out process. Verify LOTO\xe2\x80\x99s, make recommendations, implement corrections to LOTO initiator based on findings.
  • Submission of BBS\xe2\x80\x99s, Near Miss Hazards or any other reporting tools to get Unsafe information into Intelex.
  • Understand and be able to assist Operations staff with entering flare/vent volumes into our FFMV Reporting Tool
  • Monitor Tier 1 Field Inspection Audits being performed by Operators.
  • Understands and can respond to an Emergency Response Plan type event, with an understanding of their role when managing an emergency.
  • Competency Assessor
Qualifications:
  • Technical Diploma, Degree, or equivalent field experience.
  • 10 years in Oil/Gas Production Operations.
  • Multi-faceted experience in multiple areas; knowledge of Construction, Maintenance, Projects, Drilling, Completions and Budgets is an asset.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions
