We are looking for a

Senior Network and Systems Engineer

with a background in payments processing or fintech to join our growing team.

The Sr Network and Systems Engineer

will proactively monitor and assess network performance, manage infrastructure capabilities, and oversee system implementation and maintenance.




How you will contribute:


Proactively monitor overall network performance to identify trends in usage and service across the company Accountable for assessing current infrastructure capabilities including identification of service issues, gaps and risk to business operations Preparation of systems documentation and proposals for required improvements Responsible for service provider quotation, bidding, negotiation, and supervising of on-site contractors Oversee data centre networking and operations, including troubleshooting issues Responsible for system implementation and maintenance, including Linux/Windows server system, web application system, database and storage system Responsibilities include supporting multiple GTA office locations. Active directory and hybrid environment administrator Manage Microsoft 365 applications - Exchange online, MS Teams phone, and other applications. Microsoft License management. Monitor performance, security, and capacity utilization to ensure that they are meeting business needs (apply best practice framework / policies). Take charge of change escalated Service Desk requests, problem solving and incidents response. Boardroom conferencing solution support / troubleshooting Be available support any planned maintenance/emergency outages to support outside of normal office hours. Lead and manage a team of 2-3 employees, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments. Conduct and support PCI DSS audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.



What you bring to the table:


Degree in computer science or a similar field. Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator certification is an asset. At least 7 years' working experience with Windows Domain Administrator and Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019) and Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, Network Administrations and Troubleshooting Experience working in fintech, payment processor or merchant acquisition industry is an asset. Strong knowledge of office network implementation and maintenance, including WAN/LAN/Voice solution design, network equipment configurations and deployment, network system troubleshooting and health checking, system implementation and maintenance, including Linux/Windows server system, web application system, database and storage system. You have good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and collaboration skills. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a small team. Experience with PCI DSS audits and ensuring compliance with industry standards.




Nice to Have:


Virtualization (VMWare, VSphere) Proficiency with any public cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) services and infrastructure. Experience in Automating Infrastructure deployment

This is an onsite position and the successful candidate will be required to report to the office Mon-Fri from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
