The company is the Canadian subsidiary of one of the leading mining companies in the world, which is headquartered in Asia and has a global presence with operating mines and projects in 5 continents. The company is looking for talented and self-motivated individuals to join its corporate development office in Toronto.

Responsibilities:



Conduct due diligence and technical assessments for potential acquisitions, mergers, and investment opportunities.

Utilize advanced mining software for mine modeling, production scheduling, and cost estimation to support strategic decision-making.

Provide technical expertise in mine planning, design, and scheduling to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.

Coordinate mining engineering projects, collaborating closely with geology, metallurgy, and operations teams to ensure integrated project development.

Support corporate business development initiatives by actively participating in industry conferences, networking, and direct business development activities.

Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance engineering and business development capabilities.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is an asset.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Canada.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in mining engineering, with exposure to both underground and open-pit mining operations.

Strong proficiency in mining software such as Deswik, Datamine, Micromine, Surpac, or equivalent tools.

Experience in technical due diligence, project evaluation, and M&A activities within the mining sector.

Expertise in mine equipment selection, capital and operating cost estimation, and financial modeling for mining projects.

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong business acumen.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $130,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
