The LAFRAMBOISE GROUP is seeking a Senior Mechanical estimator with Industrial project experience. This is a full-time position based out of Laframboise Group's corporate office located in Long Sault (Cornwall) Ontario.

Description of Position:
Responsible for estimating the costs of a project or scope of Work that is associated with the Mechanical discipline including incorporating pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, and quantifying changes in scope.
Estimating costs associated with the assembly and construction of equipment and components by studying plans and specifications and doing accurate quantity take-offs.
Apply appropriate productivity rates and factors for the work and site conditions.
Prepare bid documents that meet the requirements of the Laframboise Group and the client's RFP.
Ensure the bid is prepared according to the RFP requirements, and it is complete and accurate.
Develop and apply appropriate hourly rates for the schedule and work hours / shifts of the project.
Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing to determine the best value proposal.
Review the project specific documents, site conditions to understand the Work.
Solicit input from the proposal team regarding the procurement and construction strategy with a focus on constructability, efficiency, and safety.
Perform bid to construct comparisons to quantify changes to the scope.
Experience with relevant standards, codes and industry practices.
Ensure Health & Safety Policies and provincial health and safety regulations are understood and followed.
Apply current estimating standards and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel to project sites as required.
Skills & Experience
15+ years experience between working and estimating millwrighting type work for industrial projects $10MM+.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage concurrent proposals and projects.
Proficient at analyzing, managing, and administering contract documentation.
Excellent analytical skills and with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bi-Lingual in French or Spanish a plus.
Possess advanced proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and navigating the flow of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint, as well as in the use of estimating software.
Experience estimating other disciplines (ex. structural steel, sheet metal, vessels and tanks, piping, electrical) would be a plus
Experience with the selection and implementation of an estimating software would be a plus.
Salary and Benefits:
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience: (Range $50/hr. to $60/hr.)
