We are looking for an experienced

Senior Mechanical Engineer

to join our team and play a key role in design, costing, and project engineering. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, cross-department collaboration, and mentoring younger engineers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

Lead and validate mechanical designs for custom freezer systems. Maintain and improve engineering templates, specifications, and costing models. Perform cost and hour estimations for projects and support the Sales team with technical input for quotations. Collaborate closely with Production and Project teams to ensure alignment between design, schedule, and cost. Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and startup, helping troubleshoot mechanical challenges. Mentor junior engineers and drafters, sharing knowledge to ensure long-term team capability. Contribute to standardizing engineering practices and strengthening design documentation.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical Engineering

or a related field. 7-10 years of experience in

industrial equipment

,

refrigeration systems

, or

heavy machinery design

. Solid understanding of

thermodynamics, mechanical design, and process engineering

. Proficiency in

SolidWorks, AutoCAD

, and

Excel-based engineering models

. Strong analytical and cost estimation skills, with a practical approach to problem-solving. Ability to work collaboratively with production, project management, and sales teams. Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring skills.

P.Eng

designation or eligibility is an asset.

Pay: $81,295.79-$148,861.24 per year
