Aurora, Ontario. We supply flexible machinery and materials to the North American market. We provide integration and full support for all the equipment we sell.

Responsibility

Mechanical Design of large and technically complex packaging equipment Prepare plant layout and equipment proposals Understanding of engineering and statistical calculations and problem-solving approaches. Experience in designing parts for a variety of fabrication techniques (CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Forming) and ease of assembly. Completes all required machine build drawings (drafting) as required Completes "as-built" drawing updates on machinery when required, reviews updates/changes with the other departments when required Generates Bill of Materials (BOM) for both purchased parts and raw manufactured materials as required Experience in SolidWorks / AutoCAD (minimum 2 years) Maintain all project and drawing files Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines / budgets Communicate project concerns, project status, and design solutions with management, fellow staff, and clients In coordination with Project Management participates in presentations of the design to the client, acquires client signoff the design concept to proceed with detailing and manufacturing Create and maintain efficiency in the design process Mentors' other designers with the mechanical design and detailing of larger systems Coordinate with suppliers and machine shops to ensure part quality and timing

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

Must have packaging machinery design experience 2 + years preferred.

Knowledge and understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing process. Creative problem-solving ability. Strong analytical and numeracy skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately. Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment and independently. Innovative thinker and proven problem-solving skills. An eye for detail and a methodical work process.
