The Director of Marketing is responsible for the promotional activities of all Carmichael services, image, and mission statements. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert in all marketing-related activities through various channels with the objective of driving sales and growing market shares.

Job Duties

  • Initiate research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs, including direct email, corporate sales, Internet marketing, conventions, workshops, advertisements, sales tools and other initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends to determine feasibility and profitability of new or existing offerings; make recommendations based on findings.
  • Develop and promote branding initiatives consistent with Carmichael\xe2\x80\x99s business goals and objectives.
  • Maximize brand value through the development of communication strategies.
  • Ensure all service, and other offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management.
  • Develop and oversee advertising and promotion activities, including print, radio, online, and direct email.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations personnel on sales forecasts, targeted markets and penetration strategies.
  • Execute tactical marketing plans and programs to support sales and revenue objectives.
  • Work with outsourced designers, writers, editors and other creative outlets to produce marketing content in accordance with brand messages.
  • Develop marketing plans within budget requirements.
  • Provide support and tools to Sales Representatives and Account Managers that will drive sales within their areas.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on the status of all marketing programs and initiatives to senior management.
  • Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing activities.
  • Assess the financial returns for special campaigns and promotions.
  • Design and attend relevant trade show and convention appearances in order to build relationships and promote the organization\'s initiatives.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
Requirements
  • University degree in Marketing required.
  • 15 years of direct work experience in a marketing management capacity.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge with brand building and brand management.
  • Knowledge of the HVAC/Trades services industry.
  • Financial acumen to make sound business decisions.
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and results oriented.
  • Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable.
  • Strong writing, content development and editing skills.
Working Conditions
  • Travel required.
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  • Remote work.
  • Nights and weekends events.
