Vicars School of Massage Therapy is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager!

This is a full-time, in-house, salaried position. We are not interested in hiring an agency.

Responsibilities



We're looking for a manager-creator to head up our small marketing department and to plan and execute effective marketing plans and strategies for our website, blog, social media, newsletters, and email marketing.

Your job is to communicate the quality and unique selling points of the massage therapy program of Vicars School of Massage Therapy to prospective students and to promote our teaching clinics to the public. Your goal is to ensure that the Admissions department has the number of qualified leads they need to fill classes, and that our supervised public clinics are well-attended throughout the year.

You will be responsible for the success of both paid and organic marketing, with the support of our small in-house team as well as our third-party paid marketing and SEO agency. This will mean creating and editing some material yourself, as well as working with the rest of the communications team. The workload will vary throughout the year. We enroll new classes in March and September each year. Here is an overview of your responsibilities.

Strategy and planning:

Research, plan, execute and analyze marketing strategies for all our platforms, including: paid and organic campaigns, website and blog posts, and social media. Collaborate with other school departments to understand their needs. Maintain the school's branding and messaging across all platforms and campaigns. Manage the school's website (with outside technical support). Design and maintain the school's marketing calendar.
Project management:

Lead the rest of the marketing team, providing guidance and monitoring the progress and quality of all work within the department Assign and oversee production of written and visual content, including ads, blog posts, and video Manage your own workload, and that of the rest of the marketing team
Content creation and editing:

Working with the rest of the team, you will write, edit, and take photos as needed. You will also edit the work of others on the team to ensure quality and accuracy

Skills



We are looking for a combination of education and job experience in marketing and communications, including experience in a project management or leadership role.

It is important that you can continue the school's tradition of storytelling through clear, effective, engaging, writing, design.

You will have:

The ability and experience to work confidently with minimal direction, be open to learning new skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative, non-hierarchical office culture. 3+ years of experience in business marketing. Formal training in marketing or related field is an asset. 2+ years experience in a leadership/management position. A record of success in researching and executing marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media. Thorough understanding of modern SEO strategies, including producing content for AI search engines. Excellent writing skills. You must be able to write clearly and persuasively about complex topics for a general audience. Please provide links to a writing portfolio in your application. Great collaboration and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing tasks and priorities. Proficiency with Wordpress is required. Familiarity with Hubspot and Mailchimp is an asset.
You will report to the Executive Director and work full time on the Edmonton campus (south side on Calgary Trail at 28th Avenue), with occasional travel to the Calgary campus.

Pay: $68,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
