The Opportunity:

As a skilled and experienced Senior Marketing Advisor, you will play a critical role in developing and executing effective strategies to attract, acquire, and retain customers for our Personal and Family Insurance products, including Health, Travel, Life. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the planning, implementation, and optimization of marketing campaigns across various channels, collaborating with team members and agency partners to drive consumer engagement, lead generation, and acquisition. To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in awareness advertising and lead generation marketing, a deep understanding of consumer behavior, and a proven track record of successfully acquiring and retaining consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and execution of key marketing strategies, manage advertising campaigns, and build awareness of our products.
  • Craft insightful marketing briefs, collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to develop compelling messaging and marketing approaches that resonate with target consumers.
  • Manage marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital and traditional advertising, social media, search, email marketing, content marketing, and other relevant tactics in collaboration with team members.
  • Optimize marketing campaigns based on data-driven insights, including A/B testing, performance analysis, and conversion rate optimization, to maximize acquisition and conversion rates.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and campaign metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders, recommending strategic adjustments to improve results, and ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost efficiency.
  • Manage market research, analyze consumer behavior, trends, and competitors to identify opportunities and target audiences.
  • Manage and support ongoing engagement and retention activities. Analyze retention data for enhancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Blue Cross partner organizations for campaign development, as well as sharing of strategies, tactics, market knowledge, consumer insights, and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in consumer acquisition, and proactively implement innovative ideas to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, agencies, and vendors to achieve marketing results.
Qualifications
  • Education: Post-secondary education in marketing discipline or sufficient consumer marketing knowledge and experience.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of previous experience in developing and executing consumer marketing campaigns, advertising, and acquisition activities, ideally within a corporate environment or through work with corporate clients.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English required, bilingualism (French and English) considered an asset.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in consumer acquisition, marketing strategy, advertising, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, strategies, and best practices, with a focus on consumer acquisition, lead generation, and retention.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights to drive marketing decisions and optimize campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital platforms as well as social and traditional media.
  • Experience working with marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, marketing automation software, and other marketing technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with external partners.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas, plans, results, and concepts in a clear and compelling way to stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies to engage and acquire consumers.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, gathering and interpreting insights to inform marketing strategies.
