Shoppers Drug Mart Specialty Health Network is hiring a Sr. Manager, Strategy & Planning

Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy & Systems, you will be responsible for helping drive and maintain special projects across the business unit. Working cross-functionally across SHN and the enterprise, you will work with business leaders to help drive their strategic initiatives. You will work closely with SHN\xe2\x80\x99s Executive team on all aspects of strategy development \xe2\x80\x93 from conceptualization to resource / financial planning to execution to benefits realization.

What You\'ll Do:

• Lead the initiative management process; which includes oversight and stakeholder management for all major strategic and operational initiatives (strategic rationale, budget, key achievements, benefits realization, resource management, change management)
• Advise, mentor and support initiative leads on preparation for Executive updates
• Liaise with Strategy counterparts in other business units to align on enterprise planning, strategy development, resource needs intended outcomes
• Lead the preparation of the formal strategic management meetings (2x annually) for SHN
• Lead the organization of monthly SHN Townhall meetings
• Support strategic Executive and Board updates / meetings within SHN, SDM and across the enterprise
• As appropriate, lead key strategic initiatives right from ideation to concept design to pilot to execution
• Work closely with counterparts in Finance, HR, Clinical, Operations and IT on planning (both in-year and multi-year) to help forecast resources, capital / operational expenditure, and benefits realization
• Continuously scan the external environment for strategic threats and opportunities, including competitor analysis, key market trends, regulatory shifts, and opportunities for innovation
• Research new business opportunities for strategic fit (including new products / services, acquisition or partnership opportunities, technology adoption)
• Support the Strategy team in other ad-hoc initiatives as required

What You\'ll Need:

• 5 to 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a corporate setting
• University Degree required; MBA or related Master\'s degree an asset
• Retail or healthcare experience an asset
• Corporate strategy or management consulting experience an asset
• Strong organizational and project management skills a must
• Strong financial and analytical skills as demonstrated by the ability to conduct and interpret both qualitative and quantitative research / insights
• Strong communication and presentation skills (including synthesizing large concepts to key insights for Executive updates)
• Validated history advising, influencing and facilitating Executive-level team members
• Consistent track record in redefining large strategic goals into short and mid-term objectives and tactics
• Experience in planning and supporting healthcare strategy an asset
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative without close supervision
• Able to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders; able to effectively communicate issues, actively engage and influence, and work collaboratively as a team member
• Able to provide solutions by using imaginative approaches where creative thinking and innovation are required
