Director, Operational Excellence and Transformation



Purpose of the Role

The Senior Manager, Strategy and Transformation is a strategic leadership role responsible for enabling operational excellence across LifeLabs. This role leads a small team focused on strategy execution, long-term planning, reporting and business continuity. As a trusted advisor to the COO and Operations SLT, the role is central to shaping and enabling the future of Operations.



Your responsibilities will include:



Strategic Leadership

Lead high-impact strategy projects at the direction of the COO, addressing critical business challenges and opportunities. Provide strategic counsel to Operations SLT, helping shape long-term direction and in-year priorities. Build trust and credibility across the organization by consistently delivering high-quality insights, fostering collaboration, and aligning diverse stakeholders.

Planning & Performance

Drive the development and iteration of the 5-year Operations strategy and annual operating plans. Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to build investment cases and ensure alignment with corporate objectives. Prepare executive-level materials for the COO and SLT, including board presentations and strategic updates.

Governance & Enablement

Establish and manage governance frameworks to ensure accountability and execution across strategic initiatives. Facilitate strategic offsites, workshops, and leadership development sessions to foster alignment and innovation. Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive threats, and emerging technologies to inform strategic direction.

Business Continuity

Oversee the Business Continuity program, ensuring operational resilience and readiness across all functions. Lead risk mitigation planning and response strategies in partnership with key stakeholders.

What you bring to the role:



Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. 7+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, or operational planning roles. 5+years of project management and change management experience is required Experience in Corporate Strategy preferred Proven ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. Strong financial acumen, with experience in cost optimization and business casing. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of executive-level engagement. Experience managing teams and developing talent. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and strategic planning tools; familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI) is an asset.
