Job SummaryWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?RBC\xe2\x80\x99s Climate Strategy team drives the overall Enterprise vision to own and accelerate RBC\xe2\x80\x99s climate ambition and supports strategy delivery while ensuring strong cross-enterprise alignment, with a mandate spanning sustainable finance, sectoral climate targets, and client engagement. The team serves as a central connection point for the enterprise on climate, bringing climate expertise, external insights, connectivity, best practices and thought leadership to groups across RBC.Reporting to the Director, Sectoral Climate Strategy, the Senior Manager, Sectoral Climate Strategy enables the delivery of RBC\xe2\x80\x99s climate commitments by driving the development and implementation of sectoral climate strategies. This role will work directly across multiple lines of business (e.g., Capital Markets, Commercial Banking) to set climate ambitions and execute business strategies in prioritized sectors, including Energy, Real Estate, Agriculture, and Transportation.WHAT WILL YOU DO?Support strategy development, project management and analytics for emissions reduction target-setting, with an emphasis on strategic problem-solving, story lining, and owning economic analysisDrive development of sectoral climate strategies, including research and analytical work relating to sectoral climate strategies and decarbonization pathways, maintaining an enterprise-level roadmap of action in each sector to mobilize actionSupport implementation & coordination of sectoral strategies across lines of business, including development of common enterprise-level frameworks and tools (e.g., client engagement framework), lead discrete projects to address prioritized opportunities / challenges on sectoral strategies that require an enterprise-level responseEstablish and own a knowledge and insights management function, maintaining a strong working knowledge of key technical and strategic developments relevant to this mandate \xe2\x80\x93 including updates to industry standards, stakeholder expectations, public policyWHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Must have:3+ years of strategy experience either in management consulting (Senior Consultant or Engagement Manager level) or within the corporate strategy function of a global corporationExperience with quantitative economic and financial modellingExperience working in corporate sustainability, and/or sector decarbonizationExperience with structured problem-solving approaches and synthesis of key insights, including clear story lining and structure communication for executive audiencesExperience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneouslyNice-to-have:Exceptional stakeholder management and inter-personal skills, particularly soft-influenceExceptional organizational and project management capabilitiesWhat\xe2\x80\x99s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
