What will your typical day look like?

As a Safety, Health, and Operational Risk (SHOR) Senior Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Stakeholder management: build long-term relationships with senior executive clients (i.e., C-suite, EVP, SVP level). Participate in business development activities such as proposals and pursuits.
• Practice development and eminence: Support the retention of Deloitte\'s position as the preeminent SHOR leader in professional services through industry presentations and publications.
• Engagement management: provide overall leadership in the delivery of projects, supported by a core team of consultants; apply a strong knowledge of multiple industries and business practices; bring industry leading knowledge and insights for safety, health, and operational risk.

About the team

Deloitte\'s Safety, Health, and Operational Risk (SHOR) team are a highly connected market offering embedded within the National Sustainability and Climate practice looking to continually grow, innovate, and offer quality and innovation to our clients. Our focus is to help our clients improve their safety, health, and operational risk performance which in turn improves their overall operational performance. We focus on strategic support in three main areas:

Organizational Strategy - From SHOR maturity assessment to organizational design
Ways of Working - SHOR process optimization and management system improvement
Enabling Infrastructure - implementation of SHOR related technology and safety data analytics

Enough about us, let\'s talk about you

As a Senior Manager, you must have:

• A minimum 10 years of professional experience in one or more of the following industries: Utilities & Renewables, Mining & Metals, Energy & Chemicals, and/or Manufacturing
• A strategic and visionary view of SHOR and how industries will mature in this area
• A strong academic record with a degree in engineering, data science, environmental or related science, with outstanding credentials
• Subject matter expertise in occupational health and safety, process safety engineering, EHS technology deployment, psychological safety, safety data analytics, assurance, and compliance
• Exceptional intellectual horsepower, including strong critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and a focused drive to solve ambiguous problems
• Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
• Experience with problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, decision making facilitation, documentation, stakeholder management, and team leadership
• An entrepreneurial spirit with experience in business development
