BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo) is hiring a Senior Manager, Procurement. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Manager plays a leadership role in overseeing all aspects of sourcing, supplier relationships, and supporting contract management at PavCo. Using deep expertise in procurement best practices, markets, and cost drivers, this role ensures PavCo secures the best value for goods and services while managing risk and maintaining compliance with public sector requirements.



The Senior Manager will head the procurement team and function within PavCo. The role will collaborate with leaders across the organization to shape procurement strategies that support capital projects, operational needs, and PavCo's long-term vision, while advancing sustainability, diversity, and Indigenous participation in procurement practices.



We are seeking a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage a team in delivering a wide range of procurement activities, from competitive purchasing to managing complex, large-scale projects. You are a collaborative communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and building trusted relationships across all levels.



WHAT YOU WILL DO:



Strategy & Leadership: Lead organization-wide procurement strategies, competitive bid processes, and support contract negotiations; establish best-in-class procurement methods; and mentor the Procurement team through goal setting, coaching, ongoing engagement and performance management. Where required, coordinate and lead outside supporting contractors. Supplier & Contract Management: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, shifting focus from transactional to strategic relationships; support contract development, negotiation, and compliance; and support monitoring performance to drive continuous improvement. Compliance & Risk: Ensure adherence to BC public sector procurement policies and current Directives including US supply chain, while proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks through alternative sourcing strategies. Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, engaging internal stakeholders and senior leadership early in procurement planning; support capital projects by ensuring procurement policies are followed; and foster a culture of collaboration across the organization. Financial Stewardship: Contribute to financial planning and budgeting, monitor adherence, establish and track performance against procurement metrics; promote a culture of cost savings through through effective procurement practices. Policy, Reporting & Process Improvement: Consolidate and analyze purchasing data for centralized reporting; maintain dashboards and approved vendor lists; lead policy development and process enhancements to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and accountability, while advancing PavCo's long term vision. Report out on major initiatives and development to PavCo's Senior Leadership Team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:



An experienced procurement leader with 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management, including leadership roles. University degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline. Applicants with public sector experience will be given preference, particularly in multiple site business units with varying business practices Demonstrated success in negotiating large, complex supplier contracts. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, compliance requirements, and risk management. A demonstrated, hands-on approach with extensive experience in leading strategic procurement and sourcing, contract development, business acumen and vendor management. Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring and leading teams.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000

Offers will be in line with PavCo's internal pay equity and qualified candidate's experience and education. Salary discussion and overall compensation package will be presented during initial phone interviews.
