Summary

The Atlantic Access Network team is seeking for an individual that enjoys working on strategic planning and network investment in an autonomous and a diverse environment. The individual will lead a team that is responsible for FTTH & legacy network planning, network design guidelines, capital planning and management, network capacity management and FTTH architecture evolution. The Access Network team expects its employees to be engaged to deliver a superior quality of service and promptness expected by our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Access Network, the successful candidate will lead a team of Network Specialists accountable for the Regional network planning, strategy and investment. The Senior Manager will have the following accountabilities/responsibilities:

  • A true people leader - someone who can inspire, coach and develop their team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and present in front of senior executives and our customers.
  • Lead with a strategic mindset, including Regional strategic network investment plan, while dealing with ambiguity in a high complex dynamic environment.
  • Decisive, confident, a sense of urgency and ownership, ability to think on your feet, drive clear action and ability to influence others.
  • Lead a technical team from initial solution/plan development and costing through to successful implementation for our customers
  • Foster a strong partnership with cross functional teams enabling successful project execution and delivery
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to forecast and deliver projects and financial results
  • Support process improvements and alignment across cross-functional teams.
Critical Qualifications
  • University degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance
  • Experience in successfully leading teams to deliver results
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and providing guidance to others for cost containment
  • Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and project/time management skills
  • Ability to motivate others and promote team collaboration and employee value
  • Self-sufficient and strong ability to drive and adapt to changes
  • Experience in Field Operations, Outside plant design and/or Access Network.
  • French is an asset
