The Senior Manager, Marketing & Fundraising, is responsible for developing and leading NYSC's marketing, fundraising, and community engagement strategies to enhance visibility, strengthen donor relationships, and increase financial sustainability. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution -- ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and is eager to elevate NYSC's impact across the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, and sponsorships.
Identify, cultivate, and steward donors, sponsors, and funding partners at all levels.
Manage the full grant lifecycle: identify opportunities, write proposals, track deliverables, and ensure compliance.
Lead NYSC's marketing and communications strategy to ensure consistent branding across all channels.
Oversee digital and print communications, including website content, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Create compelling storytelling and campaigns to highlight NYSC's programs and donor impact.
Supervise, mentor, and support marketing/fundraising team members, interns, and volunteers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders.
Develop and manage budgets, track KPIs, and evaluate ROI for marketing and fundraising initiatives.
Represent NYSC at events, public engagements, and donor meetings, providing updates and reports to leadership and the Board.
QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS:
Education:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, or Public Relations (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) designation or coursework in fundraising is considered an asset
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in marketing, fundraising, grant writing and communications within the non-profit or community services sector.
Other:
Proven success in developing and managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns, donor cultivation, and corporate sponsorships.
Experience leading digital marketing, content creation, social media strategies, and familiarity with donor management software.
Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, brand management, and audience engagement.
Demonstrated leadership experience supervising staff, contractors, or volunteers, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
High emotional intelligence, integrity, and ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines under pressure.
