Overview of the Opportunity:


As an Innovation Lead, you will report into and work directly with the Managing Partner and President of Digital and Innovation at KPMG, while also working closely with the Crypto-Asset & Blockchain Leader and Customer Practice Leader, as well as cross-functional teams to develop proposals, create thought-provoking content on innovation, and identify new business opportunities where innovation is best positioned to thrive with our Clients.

You will contribute to, and execute on, our Innovation Strategy, working at a fast pace with a cross-functional team to capture opportunities for our Partners and Clients that can be addressed with our innovation team, processes, and tools. Your direct experience leading innovative projects, firm understanding of the innovation process (e.g. design thinking, Lean Startup, and others) and ability to educate Senior Leaders on how to embrace and enable it for long-term success, will be key. Success in the role will look like Clients that come to KPMG for support in designing, building and/or testing their innovation strategy, resulting in growth in our Innovation Practice. What you will do:
We are looking for an Innovation Lead with experience developing frameworks, business strategies, proposals, operating models from zero-to-one, who can effectively communicate with senior level executives, and can work on a multidisciplinary innovation team focused on delivering business value through thought leadership, storytelling for impact in different mediums, and is focused on the client.

You are a thought leader, risk taker, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and are eager to create something new.

Your activities as the Innovation Lead will be different each day, but you will be primarily responsible for the following as part of a fast-paced team:

  • Lead the development of high-impact and visually compelling proposals, presenting a thought-provoking vision and ideas that connect with clients
  • Create a multi-year plan and roadmap where KPMG can deliver meaningful impact on targeted industries ready for disruption
  • Present a strong perspective and unique ideas in sales meetings of where industries and organizations can innovate, tied back to KPMG’s value proposition and services
  • Build a strong internal network of stakeholders who will be a source of opportunities, thought leadership, and partners in creating use cases
  • Develop a library of case studies and marketing collateral based on the successful outcomes and learnings from our innovation engagements
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders and delivery teams to expand and build new innovation services
What you bring to this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 8+ years’ experience working directly in, or with, enterprises working through organizational change and transformation (ie. positions previously held as a Founder, COO, Sales Leader and/or Consultant in the tech sector)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive value creation and identify new opportunities to grow and expand market segments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, while being able to speak at both a technical level and strategic level
  • Leverage design thinking to solve complex business challenges, and comfort in collaborating with teammates across different skillsets and capabilities.
  • Curious on deep diving into emerging themes. Passion for reading and learning.
  • Ability to learn new analytical tools.
  • Experience in delivering virtual, hybrid and face to face events
