The incumbent would be responsible for managing the forecasting, planning, executing and reporting in support of day-to-day power system event management (dispatch) and coordination of switching operations including switching isolations and planned outages to support internal and external work groups, customer-initiated work and other utilities. Oversees and manages the execution of all power system related events, specifically, responsible for directing the delivery of "closed loop" power system services arising from inbound power system outages, police, fire, ambulance or any other external utility or agency and all outbound work management activities including prioritization, resources assignment and logistics related to reactive construction and maintenance.
The incumbent has primary responsibility for the achievement of regulatory service levels and corporate performance targets related to power system events. S/he acts as the designated point of contact for incoming and outgoing mutual aid support, managing and maintaining systems, processes, procedures and internal and external stakeholder relationships to support. Responsible to manage and lead grid specific analysis to support improvements to design and configuration of the distribution system, providing reactive analysis to identify outcomes and learnings from system events. S/he oversees development of the strategic operational technology (OT) modernization roadmap, leads implementation of OT initiatives and manages critical OT systems and platforms (e.g. SCADA and Network Management System). S/he oversees systems, processes and procedures to support proactive power system and grid optimization analytics. In addition, the incumbent acts as a subject matter expert in support of control room related technology projects, initiatives, enhancements and upgrades, as it relates to the operationalization and integration of new technologies within the control centre and dispatch processes and management systems.
