What is the opportunity?
As part of the RBC CFO Group's ongoing optimization strategy, the Global Process Re-Engineering team member will play a lead role in driving large-scale process efficiency and transformation initiatives across the organization. The role focuses on analyzing existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, facilitating design workshops, and implementing innovative solutions to create capacity and enhance productivity.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and time management skills, a sense of curiosity, and the courage to ask 'Why?'. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about continuous improvement, operational excellence, and delivering measurable business impact.
A key component of this role will be to understand and interpret strategic goals and effectively translate them into actional plans, fostering a culture of accountability, and driving measurable results to propel the CFO group forward.
What you will do?
Supports multiple senior leaders including: Director, Senior Director, VP level stakeholders as well as the COO for the CFO Group with achieving delivering on our strategic priorities globally across RBC Finance.
The candidate will lead the most highly critical/complex finance process reengineering initiatives with a goal to standardize processes, tools and practices necessary to execute change initiatives, while enabling repeatable transformational change:
Process Redesign:
Lead current state analysis and documentation of prioritized global financial process initiatives
Key contributor to the development of new global processes and target operating models under the guidance of senior leaders
Support process redesign activities by coordinating tasks and contributing to the development of business cases
Support the integration and alignment of global processes and initiatives with broader enterprise strategies
Benchmark and track key metrics against industry best practices
Facilitates and runs design/process workshops
Initiative Implementation:
Responsible for identifying key issues prior to and during implementation, raising issues with key stakeholders and offering solutions
Facilitate communication between business and technology or other stakeholder teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements
Monitor and identify key issues during the implementation of initiatives while suggesting potential solutions
Bring together and manage key stakeholders; present and gain buy-in from business partners
Prepares and presents clear and thoughtful materials to enable business decision support.
What you need to succeed?
Must Have
6+ years of progressive experience in Financial Institution or professional services firm
Proven track record of delivering tangible outcomes, while navigating through ambiguity
Superior knowledge of core financial processes, (e.g. ERP systems, subledgers, associated code block etc.)
Strong process strategy, business optimization and re-engineering experience
Excellent communication and business writing skills (including advanced PowerPoint)
Strong negotiation, impact and influence, and stakeholder management
Ability to disrupt and challenge the status quo to drive transformation across the enterprise
