Overview:
This role is accountable for leading, developing and executing strategies and processes to develop profitable global sales to meet the strategic business objectives of the company. This role works closely with and takes direction from the Sr. VP, Global Business Development and Sales (the \xe2\x80\x9cSr. VP\xe2\x80\x9d). The initial focus of this role is on sales territories outside of North America.

What you will be doing:

Develop and implement strategic regional sales plans and related sales and marketing programs for company products and services globally. Present a complete plan annually and provide regular updates as requested by the Sr. VP.

Collaborate with sales team members, working within a complex and lengthy sales cycle environment; involve the right team members at the right time.

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the company\xe2\x80\x99s business, focusing on direct sales, channel partnerships, and international relationships that create measurable success for the business.

Establish and develop a sales pipeline and rolling 12-month sales forecast, in collaboration with the Sr. VP. Review it monthly with the Sr. VP, or more frequently as needed.

Participate in sales campaigns, sales promotions and marketing programs for the regions in collaboration with the Sr. VP. Conduct regular post-implementation reviews to assess effectiveness and achievement of intended outcomes. Provide regular updates to the Sr. VP.

Participate in the launch of new products to maximize their effectiveness in the territories, bringing new products to the market through both direct and reseller channel sales.

Comply with all sales processes and procedures in generating sales opportunities and quotes. Present all non-standard quotes, or those with extraordinary discounts or customization, for approval by the Sr. VP and the President of the company.

Notify the the company\xe2\x80\x99s Service Department promptly of any customer request for warranty service and assist in the investigation of any abnormal requests for parts or service related to customers. Provide regular updates to the Sr. VP.

Provide correct and timely information regarding general market conditions and competitive information.

Furnish information and reports relative to activities as may be requested by the company. Fully utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tool supplied by the company for these purposes.

Demonstrates the corporate values of the company and maintains the company\xe2\x80\x99s reputation by exhibiting and demanding the highest ethical standards and adherence to legal requirements in Canada and abroad

Prepare a travel plan and budget for the year, updated quarterly, for review and approval by the Sr. VP.

What you must have:

Experience in business development and sales globally, gained through a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in the company\xe2\x80\x99s industry or a related industry

Strong capital equipment sales experience within the industry including experience structuring, negotiating and managing a dynamic and long sales cycle; understanding of OTI\xe2\x80\x99s industry, key clients and prospects

In-depth and broad knowledge of routes to markets, cultures and end-to-end processes

Experience structuring deals within Asia, along with other global locations

University or college education ideally in engineering or business.

Entrepreneurial mindset to take considered risks that strengthen the organization

Able to effectively establish productive relationships across different cultures and groups

Strong sales presentation skills; able to clearly communicate the benefits and value of product offerings

Successful past experience in entering new markets overseas and developing new customer bases

Entrepreneurial, resourceful, energetic, self-directed; strong leadership capabilities

Focused on the achievement of strategic goals and profit orientation

Consistently meets or exceeds established targets

Anticipates and communicates in advance any potential issues and their impact

Is client-centric, proactively anticipates and actions business needs

Proven track record in relationship management; successfully establishes and maintains long-term relationships with customers and colleagues

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and networking/collaboration abilities

High degree of comfort in using business/financial information, reporting, and analytic tools

Strong project management skills, analytical thinking and attention to detail

Analytical skills and experience related to profitability, forecasting

Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills

A passion for results and a winning outlook

Must possess and maintain an unrestricted valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license

Must possess and maintain a valid passport for international travel
