Position
The Sr. Manager, Financing Solutions is responsible for coaching and engaging Advisors and Private Wealth Management teams to help achieve sales targets for mortgage, banking and financing products. This includes providing credit expertise for high-net-worth (HNW) and /or complex client scenarios and providing guidance on IG Wealth Management policies and compliance. This individual will be responsible for working collaboratively and managing relationships with internal (i.e., Regional VPs) and external (i.e., vendors/partners) stakeholders to ensure Advisors are successful in selling all mortgage, banking and financing products.
Responsibilities:
Coaching and Engaging IG Advisors
Coach Advisors & their teams on the IG mortgage and banking product and service offering to help achieve sales targets; engage Advisors based on the HNW, private wealth management (PWM) and Private Wealth Planning Experience pipeline.
Private Wealth Planning Experience (PWPE): Provide credit expertise to IG Consultants for high-net-worth (HNW) and/or complex client scenarios as part of the holistic financial planning process in collaboration with other subject matter experts from the IG Advanced Financial Planning Team
Provide guidance to Advisors on adhering to IG Wealth Management policies and compliance
Understand and analyze results of the credit guidance and expertise provided to Advisors and their clients; suggest and action areas of improvement
Collaboration & Relationship Management with Internal & External Stakeholders
Build strong relationships with IG Advisors and clients (where applicable); actively speak and engage with Advisors at Regional Office events and clients at market client events (i.e., speak to mortgage, banking and financing solutions for HNW clients)
Build and maintain relationships with Regional VPs, and Private Wealth Management AVPs within region; provide updates, business unit briefings, and collect feedback
Provide input and collaborate on training requirements for Advisors where applicable
Work with external stakeholders (vendors, partners) to align on product information/training and external data and tools
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of the financial services industry, specializing in mortgages and banking (i.e., conditions, trends, competitors, etc.)
Strong knowledge of private banking, and personal and commercial lending
Comprehensive knowledge of product and service offerings and salesforce
Strong Knowledge of the entire financial planning and credit discipline (tax, corporate structure, complex planning solutions, etc.)
Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent training and coaching skills
Strong business development and relationship management skills
Strong customer service attitude with good people skills
Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s Degree / Post-Secondary Education. Commerce or Business Admin, is preferred
5+ years of experience in in the mortgage and banking industry with experience in a sales or business development role
CFP or QAFP are considered a strong asset
CIM, FMA, CFA, FCSI designations are an asset
