EDA\xe2\x80\x99s signature Earth Observation mission, the EarthDaily Constellation (EC), is currently under construction. Once operational in mid-2024, the EC will be the most powerful global change detection and change monitoring system ever developed, capable of generating unprecedented predictive analytics and insights. The EarthDaily Constellation will combine with the EarthPipeline data processing system to provide unprecedented, scientific-grade data of the world every day, positioning EDA to meet the growing needs of diverse industries.

Do you want to work with the Finance team of one of the most exciting space companies at the forefront of global change detection/change monitoring? We are looking for a dynamic Senior Manager, Financial Analysis to contribute to our team.

As a Senior Manager, Financial Analysis, you will play a crucial role in providing actionable insights, financial planning, and strategic support to various business units. With a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, you will analyze financial data, assess performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive critical business decisions and strategy. The ideal candidate will have worked in the high-tech industry and will have a minimum of three years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience. The role is to backfill for mat leave with an opportunity to convert to full-time. The position reports to the Interim Controller and has the following responsibilities and requirements:

• Develop in-depth knowledge of the company\xe2\x80\x99s business, its operations and processes and contribute to the development and implementation of business plans
• Work with Finance and cross-functional teams and leaders to support the development and implementation of improved management reporting, forecasting and analysis tools used to understand business results and enable financial and management reporting
• Prepare and monitor operational and financial performance models, highlighting trends and performing variance analysis
• Provide training support to business areas required to implement new tools and processes.
• Collaborate with leaders, Finance team and related stakeholders, providing business insights to grow the business while understanding the opportunities and risks
• Prepare detailed annual financial budget by working collaboratively with department heads
• Prepare monthly reforecast and support month-end close by preparing actual to budget variance analysis
• Support annual financial planning process by working collaboratively with Interim Controller on the development of budgeting tools and variance analytics
• Represent Finance on key corporate initiatives by being an active participant in working groups and working with Interim Controller to ensure implementation is successful
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to standardize and automate reporting tools and processes
• Support in the implementation and adoption of Workday Adaptive
• Prepare financial models in excel for costings, scenario analysis, and other ad hoc analysis
• Lead process changes across the business to enhance financial and operational control, and information quality as we scale
• Create and enhance the existing KPI reporting and analytical tools to increase efficiency, improve existing reports and develop new reports
• Cash Planning & Cash Flow forecasting support
• Assisting with the year-end financial statements and the annual audit as required
• Other accounting, reporting and finance functions as required

YOUR PAST MISSIONS

• Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years experience FP&A; or,
• An equivalent combination of experience/education/designations
• Exceptional analytical and modelling skills; expert knowledge of Excel is required

YOUR TOOLKIT

• CPA designation
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS
• Expertise in building large Excel spreadsheets and maintaining them
• Advanced PowerPoint skills
• Prior experience with annual budgeting/forecasting
• Experience with Government R&D projects and accounting rules preferable
• Prior experience with month-end closings
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations preferable
• Meticulous attention to detail is required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a start-up environment and \xe2\x80\x9cpitch-in\xe2\x80\x9d where necessary
• High level of critical and logical thinking and analysis
• Experience working with multiple projects in a complex environment
• Self-motivated, resourceful, results-driven professional with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
• +1 for space industry experience
• +1 for experience with NetSuite ERP or Adaptive Insights
