Reporting to the VP Finance Americas, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance functions within the companyResponsibilities:Financial Reporting:-Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.-Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.-Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.-Present financial reports to management, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making.Cash Flow Management:-Manage cash flow by monitoring receivables, payables, and liquidity positions.-Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and working capital management.-Ensure compliance with banking covenants and financial agreements.Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:-Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.-Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory filings.-Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.Financial Analysis and Strategy:-Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.-Evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and potential acquisitions.-Provide financial insights to support business growth initiatives and cost optimization strategies.Team Leadership and Development:-Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support for professional development.-Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.-Encourage continuous improvement and innovation in financial processes and systemsBasic Requirements:-Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred)-Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.-Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles (ASPE/IFRS) and tax regulations.Preferred Requirements:-Experience working in Quebec, with a thorough understanding of provincial regulations and compliance requirements-Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., ERP systems).-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.AVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
