About the Job The Senior Manager of Events and Field Marketing is responsible for leading, developing and growing Tipalti\xe2\x80\x99s North America events and field marketing strategies, encompassing existing and potential customers across all verticals.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

  • Lead the strategy, planning and execution of virtual and in-person events for existing and potential customers; includes aligning strategy with partnering and aligning with individuals and teams across marketing, product marketing, demand generation, sales, sales development, product, engineering, and customer success.
  • Partner with key representatives in marketing, sales, engineering, customer success and C-Level executives on the strategy, direction, details and delivery of Tipalti\xe2\x80\x99s annual User Conference; includes establishing measurable objectives and success criteria, developing, deploying and analyzing pre- and post-event evaluations, and measuring ROI.
  • Lead the end-to-end development and execution of integrated GTM field marketing programs and campaigns showcasing Tipalti products and use cases, focused on both targeted (ABM) and expanded-reach (Demand Generation) markets; includes defining the objectives, leading the content creation and execution, leveraging content and testimonials from raving-fan customers.
  • Partner with the Portfolio Marketing team in incorporating solution positioning, product launches, roadmaps, personas & industry messaging, sales enablement tools, and related into event programming and field marketing campaigns and materials.
  • Maintain full and up-to-date knowledge and awareness of Tipalti\xe2\x80\x99s business strategy and results, products and product roadmap, and competitor intelligence, along with up-to-date insights on current and emerging trends in Fintech, marketing strategies and event planning.
  • Provides leadership, support and direction to assigned team; includes selecting, onboarding and training new team members, assigning projects and deliverables, providing development opportunities, coaching and feedback.
  • Provide partnership and support for other marketing initiatives as needed.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need
  • What you\xe2\x80\x99ve learned:
    • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communication or business, or equivalent experience
  • Your background includes:
    • 6-8 years experience in field marketing and/or event marketing, including 3 years in formal people leadership role of 4+ direct reports
    • Experience working in a SaaS B2B technology company
    • Experience in a late-stage pre-IPO environment preferred
  • Your skills include:
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to build and maintain strong, trusted internal and external partnerships, including the ability to influence direction and outcomes
    • Detail oriented, with the ability to manage, lead, and deliver on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, often with the need to pivot on short notice and meet short turnaround times. requirements
    • Proven ability to focus and deliver on the immediate- and near-term needs, while simultaneously anticipating and leading toward future state needs.
    • High level of resilience, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills

Unique Aspects of this Role
  • Travel: Moderate to significant overnight travel (approximately 25%+/- anticipated).
  • Schedule:
    • Normal workweek business hours within geographic location and time zone.
    • Requires flexibility to coordinate schedules across time zones with internal teams and external customers and contacts.
  • Physical aspects:
    • Position is located onsite/in-office three days per week.
    • Prolonged sitting and/or standing at workstation.
    • Prolonged computer and/or telephone usage.
    • Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
    • Visual acuity at close ranges.
