Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat you'll be doingReporting to the Director Marketing Data Strategy, the Sr. Manager Data Governance will own the data and operational governance framework for Marketing Data Lakehouse and other data applications that are critical to Marketing strategic transformation initiatives. Key accountabilities includes establishing end-to-end operating process including user onboarding and management, inventory data assets and permissions, as well as leveraging internal frameworks and resources to establish data integrity controls to ensure data quality, completeness and accuracy. In addition to overseeing the establishment of governance practices, you will also work with Enterprise hub partners to ensure data catalogues and lineages are maintained for the Marketing spoke, leveraging CIBCs toolkits and governance platforms. You will be successful at ensuring Marketing Data Lakehouse is compliant with all internal parties and processes, including those with security, enterprise architecture, and records management.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Youll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you'll succeed

  • You can demonstrate 3-5 years of Data governance experience, with focus on Marketing and Client-centric data applications You have a broad and deep knowledge of Data governance requirements, concepts, tools, processes and controls applicable to a large organization and as they relate to other risks such as technology, cybersecurity, privacy, records management and regulatory.
  • Business Acumen Strong business acumen with particular focus on Marketing and client-centricity. You can connect the dots between multiple program deliverables, dependencies and desired outcome. You are able to simplify and able to translate day to day operational requirements into a well governed framework.
  • Operational Excellence Set up and own operational processes for Marketing Data Lakehouse and other data applications to ensure compliance with CIBCs security and data policies. Ensure processes are well documented and appropriate for the intended Audience.
  • Collaboration You will work SMEs from across Marketing and enterprise programs to ensure Marketing Data Lakehouse follows appropriate governance requirements with standards required for enterprise-grade business application. You will be required to liaise and work with record and data roles across the enterprise.
  • Accountability Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple concurrent programs.
