What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Senior Director, Credit Execution as the Senior Manager, Credit Execution you will be responsible for assisting with lending initiatives, and business work packages in support of strategic Business Banking initiatives. You will focus on the implementation of fixes to resolve key issues and build / launch of strategic platform based initiatives and lending transformation technology goals. You will also support the Senior Director, and other Directors on the team, in accomplishing various strategic matters related to the overall improvement of credit execution.

Business Banking Lending is a key growth area for CIBC. In order to achieve planned growth, you must support the Senior Director, and other Directors on the team, in managing the overall portfolio for Business Banking, and simultaneously partner with project delivery to execute on growth objectives.

How You\xe2\x80\x99ll Succeed

  • Relationship Management - Consult with Business Partners on an ongoing basis to evaluate needs, assess type of support that may be required to address issues or concerns and make recommendations for process change considerations. Help foster consensus among a wide range of stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic decisions.
  • Product Management \xe2\x80\x93 Support Subject Matter Experts (SME) for all matters related to the Business Banking credit portfolio and its management. Identify emerging issues, conduct independent analysis to assess them, and help make informed decisions. Assist with the resolution of internal and client escalations when it relates to lending and/or programs owned by the team. Support the development, and overall management, of key metrics. Work with key business partners to assist with the execution of programs / campaigns to support growth of the Business Banking credit portfolio. Suggest ideas as to how to improve lending and business processes that deliver an optimal client experience.
  • Project Management - Support various projects and initiatives including the gathering, documentation, and validation of business requirements. Work with the business lead to assist in the development and delivery of project charters, work packages and develop project plans for a variety of related assignments or routine projects. Assist in walkthroughs with internal business partners, obtain signoff on business work packages relative to the projects/initiatives. Provide regular reporting when required and monitor implementation of projects within Business Banking or work packages to ensure success. Report and track benefits related to project initiatives.
Who You Are
  • You have 3-5 years of relevant financial services experience. It is preferred if you have lending experience. You have experience working inside a complex organization and understanding what it takes to successfully drive change. You have experience in developing analysis, insights and strategic recommendations that have had a positive, material impact on internal or external clients.
  • You have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business or Economics, or a Master of Business Administration.
  • You have exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You have demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze business problems and recommend solutions.
  • You have demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to achieve measurable results.
  • You have the ability to manage multiple priorities. Against a background of rapidly changing dynamics and challenging deadlines, you have the capability of delivering against objectives while managing stakeholder groups and multiple projects.
  • You have outstanding analytical and intellectual abilities. You have the ability to manage complex conceptual issues using advanced analytical and modeling frameworks in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You are detail-oriented. You are highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • You are team-oriented. You have the ability to get along with diverse corporate professionals. You have the ability to work with executives and staff at all levels within the organization.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills, with strong oral and written communication.
  • You posses a strong customer-focused orientation. You act as a strategic business partner to internal clients.
