Position Summary

Pernod Ricard North America (specifically, Hiram Walker & Sons Limited) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Finance Consolidation Lead. This person will report into the Director, Cost Accounting and play a key role in the oversight of financial activities coordinating the work of local staff on such matters such as monthly reporting, oversight of cost accounting methodologies, consolidation reporting, T&E processes, implementing and maintaining proper governance over internal controls, and in general, adherence to the PRNA policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

- Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Lead the month-end financial close process ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of local distillery Trial Balance submissions through to consolidated Pernod Ricard Group reporting.
• Understand and lead initiatives to improve centralization and internal control compliance, consistent with PR policies and procedures in accordance with established best practices.
• Understand and apply consistent PR cost accounting methodologies across entities.
• Implement rolling forecast monthly reporting analysis consistent with established processes at other PR operations where reporting is established.
• Assist with Quarterly key cash driver consolidation, analysis and reporting focused on maturing inventories and capital expenditure ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
• Consolidate and report Finance and Operations KPI\xe2\x80\x99s in accordance Pernod Ricard Group Operations requirements.
• Assist in the management and oversight of all aspects of consolidated financial statements across management cycles including budget, forecasting, strategic planning.
• Work closely with all divisions, especially operations leads, to perform various ad hoc analysis across sites, including strategic and tactical matters as it relates to budget management, cost of goods analysis, cash flow forecasting, export market opportunities, etc.

- Accounting and Internal Controls

• Implement accounting and finance procedures.
• Lead month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary and account reconciliations.
• Maintain internal control documentation.
• Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
• Assists with the external auditors as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting or Finance required - CPA or CMA strongly preferred
• International Financial Reporting expertise in a production accounting environment
• 5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
• Strong comprehension of accounting/financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting ..)
• Advanced MS Office Suite skills; required proficiency in Excel (data analysis, forecasting and modeling)
• NetSuite and JDE E1 experience
• Effective analytical and communication skills
