Corporate Communications is at the centre of the action, providing support that enables Bell\xe2\x80\x99s industry leadership. Our team works with multiple partners across Bell to drive our broadband, wireless and media business forward.
The Corporate Communications team develops and manages all external and internal communications strategies for Bell, providing leadership on Media Relations, Financial Communications, Internal Communications, Community Investment & Sponsorship and Public Affairs.
We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Communications with a focus on external and internal communications activities to support specific Bell corporate-wide programs and initiatives important to all of our stakeholders, including our customers, the communities we serve, our employees and our shareholders. If you are a seasoned communications professional with at least 6-8 years of experience complemented by advanced leadership skills, exceptional judgment and an ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment with agility and confidence, this will be an interesting career opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to support key corporate priorities
  • Provide communications advice, expertise and support to senior business leaders, including the development of external and internal messaging, articles for publication, presentations for small and large-scale events, speaking notes and additional communications activities across a range of platforms
  • Develop strong relationships with teams and leaders across the company
  • Apply exceptional judgment to anticipate and effectively manage organizational risks and issues
  • Demonstrate leadership and implement ideas that maximize the performance and engagement of the Bell Communications team
  • Work closely with other Bell Communications leaders and within multi-disciplinary project teams on key initiatives and issues
  • Be knowledgeable and up-to-date on evolving economic, political, regulatory and social issues that generate both risks and opportunities for Bell\xe2\x80\x99s broadband, wireless and media business interests across the country


Critical Qualifications


  • University degree in communications or relevant discipline
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in corporate communications at a medium to large organization
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across a variety of platforms and for a range of audiences
  • Demonstrated success at driving effective communications campaigns and programs
  • Strong issues management, public policy and crisis communications experience as well as knowledge of working in a regulated industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality communications within tight deadlines
  • Good understanding of social media and other visual and digital channels
  • Self-motivated and resilient to changing timelines and requests
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with a technology, telecommunications and/or media company an asset
