Compensation: $97,753- $122,192 per annum

Servus is embarking on a bold new vision which requires transformational change. Gone are the days of status quo as we build out a workforce of leaders who can take Servus to the next level! We are looking for a Senior Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Diversified Industries in our Commercial Credit department.

Reporting to the Director Commercial Credit, your primary goal is to evaluate and approve commercial and agricultural credit applications generated by our Business Banking Centers. Your focus will be on reviewing transactions for operating companies with an emphasis on financing accounts receivable, inventory, equipment, professional practices, and mergers and acquisitions. As part of the risk management team, you are responsible for assessing loan portfolio risks and trends and maintaining credit quality through recommendation of commercial lending limits, monitoring of portfolio performance, recognizing emerging industry, macro-economic and political risks, training and guidance of commercial lenders, and maintenance/revision of Corporate Lending Policy and Guidelines.

More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

• Review and approval/ recommendation of commercial and agricultural credit applications.
• Restructure credit applications when necessary, negotiating with lenders to ensure credit terms and conditions are appropriate and that member needs are met.
• Ensure that the approved applications meet acceptable risk requirements in accordance with prudent lending practices, corporate lending policy, as well as regulatory and legislative requirements
• Maintain acceptable risk levels in the existing loan portfolio through monitoring of underwriting practices, loan performance, and delinquency management practices.
• Review and recommend changes to Corporate Lending Policies and develop/revise Commercial and Agricultural Lending Guidelines to ensure lending practices remain prudent, competitive and support corporate objectives and strategies.
• Assist with special projects and new business development models

Requirements

To qualify, you will need at least the following:

• A minimum of 10 years commercial lending experience

• Knowledge of operating company financing including cash flow lending, margined lines of credit, equipment finance, and owner-occupied real estate.
• Experience in agricultural business lending would be an asset.
• Experience in both sales and credit roles.
• University level finance/accounting degree or an equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience

Depending on the location of the successful applicant, an office may be available as well.
