About the team you are joining
The Training and Licensing Team, within OSS-Flight and Technical Operations, is committed to the development and promotion of innovative training and licensing standards. More specifically, the Team is engaged in supporting the global implementation of Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) programs across aviation disciplines. The Team's activities include interaction with States and regulators, IATA member airlines, training providers and international organizations.
What your day would be like
Reporting to the Head, Training and Licensing, OSS-Flight and Technical Operations, you will be responsible for the delivery of the current IATA CBTA products, for the continuous improvement of their content and the development of additional ones.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Training and Licensing in the advocacy and promotion of CBTA towards the States and the industry
  • Deliver the IATA CBTA course developer standardization for flight crew training
  • Support the development and further delivery of the IATA CBTA course developer standardizations for the following personnel:
  • Maintenance personnel training (AMTEM)
  • Cabin Crew training
  • Dispatcher / Flight operation Officer training
  • Participate in the revision of the IATA CBTA standardizations to ensure the continuous enhancement of their quality and effectiveness
  • Where necessary, participate in the development of additional CBTA-related products, e.g., CBTA guides, CBTA data collection and analysis, CBTA accreditation, etc.
  • Represent IATA at conferences, industry meetings and subject matter expert groups on CBTA related issues
We would love to hear from you, if you have:
  • University degree in adult education
  • Experience as instructional design specialist for the development of aviation personnel training programs
  • Proven CBTA program development and/or delivery
  • Training delivery experience in one of the following aviation disciplines: flight crew, AMTEM, cabin crew, dispatcher, air traffic controller...
  • High degree of familiarity with ICAO provisions related to training design (e.g., ICAO 9868, PANS-TRG, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to speak in public to large audiences of professionals in the aviation industry
Travel Required: 20%
