:Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto\'s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.At Metrolinx, equity, diversity and inclusion are essential to living our values of serving with passion, thinking forward and playing as a team.The Senior Manager of Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analysis will establish and execute a vision for the delivery of information and analytics solutions to the Capital Projects Group. This role will be responsible for the design, implementation and optimization of a Business Intelligence (BI) strategy focused on providing stakeholders with project performance data and analytics to facilitate informed decision-making, mitigate risk and improve project performance.What will I be doing?

• Develops and implements a BI strategy and supporting BI architecture for CPG Project Delivery and Functional teams inclusive of developing a roadmap, mandate/scope and implementation plan to advance data analytics and reporting maturity.
• Leads and manages the Data Architecture, BI Performance Analytics and Operational Reporting Teams; provides oversight and direction on the collection and interpretation of data for the reports/dashboards, the type of information to include and resolve any issues the team may have in accessing, preparing and transforming data for the compilation of dashboards and reports.
• Provides the technical expertise required to advance data and business intelligence maturity for CPG
• Enables self-service dashboard capabilities that leverage data and analytics from Finance, Scheduling, Safety, Risk, Commercial and Quality functions; develops intelligent alert capabilities that automatically inform management and project delivery teams about anomalies
• Work with I&IT and Business Systems to develop interactive reporting tools, allowing the senior management team and Program Delivery teams to access information easily and quickly, while maintaining data security; and work with the functional teams to achieve greater coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
• Provides creative thought leadership with input from others to develop and deploy a strategic vision and connect and align projects with strategic corporate goals;
• Directly manages a team of 11 professionals and 2 contingent works in a single work group performing related tasks;

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

• Demonstrated years of leadership/management experience in data analytics and BI working with large, complex data sets, experience in the public capital infrastructure/construction industry with exceptional analytical skills, and experience in developing technical solutions. Previous experience and expertise in establishing BI function and connecting end-to-end reporting in an organization is an asset.
• Completion of a degree or diploma in Business Management, Data Analytics or related discipline - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent

Skills that are considered to be an asset:

• Proficiency in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence concepts, with a demonstrated ability to apply these technologies to real-world challenges.
• Strong expertise in data management, including data dictionary development, data cataloging, and Master Data Management (MDM) practices.
• Extensive experience in leading advanced technology and data solution adoption and implementation.
• Extensive experience in data architecture, modeling, and transformation within complex projects or programs.
