Through a syndicated loan market, develop and maintain a profitable commercial real estate loan portfolio.
Assists Laurentian Bank of Canada ("LBC") Real Estate Team by implementing a Canada-wide business development strategy; finding suitable financial institutions to participate in lending opportunities that LBC originates. Enhance LBC profitability and support growth initiatives by participating in external driven opportunities.

Responsibilities
Prepares and follows through executions on Confidentiality Agreements, Confidential Information Memoranda, and related materials for real estate loan syndications.
Prepares Mortgage Participation & Servicing Agreements and inter-credit Agreements with other participating lenders on terms and conditions that are satisfactory to LBC.
Tracks and prepares reviews and recommendation on maturities to assure each loan account is attended to for reporting or renewal. Communicates with lending partners to resolve any issues.
Prepares pipelines and progress reports, as required, itemizing new business and syndication status.
Responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing co-lenders and proactively cultivating new partnerships, which includes gaining a deep understanding of each co-lender's risk appetite.
Liaison with participating lenders to ensure efficiency with credit approvals, and funding schedules.
Prepare investor profiles for all lenders documenting their lending parameters.
Manage counter-party exposure and various asset class exposure across the commercial real estate portfolio.
Review potential external opportunities including portfolio acquisitions and portfolio sales.
Lead various projects and large mandates that could have a significant impact on profitability, efficiency and regulatory.
Anticipate the implications of new legislation, policies, programs, procedures and various projects; evaluate them and comment on them and make recommendations to the Bank's senior management.
Manage his or her employees in compliance with current legislation, policies, programs and procedures

Qualifications
Academic Background: University or College degree, or relevant job experience.
Experience: 10-year experience in related commercial real estate financing.
Specific Skills
Working knowledge of Windows based PC word processing and spreadsheet analysis.
Strong communication skills required to negotiate and close complex transactions.
Advanced written skills in order to write clear and logical Confidential Information Memoranda.
Working knowledge of real estate.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
