  • The GRCT Production Lead is responsible for leading the application production support team covering all Global Regulatory and Controls applications. This primarily system involving trade reporting in order for Scotiabank\'s compliance with OTC Derivatives Reforms such as Dodd Frank / CFTC, EMIR and similar rules in Canada, and Asia.
  • In addition, the candidate will oversee small change efforts and developments for the primary Regulatory Reporting platforms.
  • The candidate will lead a team of technical analysts and developers and engage with multiple business stakeholders, developers, vendors, infrastructure, and Compliance.
  • The candidate will also be the primary group in supporting and responding to Regulatory and Audit queries.
  • Lastly the position provides vendor relationship management, manage contracts and invoices, and serve as application owner for certain applications.

  • Strong people management skills
  • Able to work with Senior stakeholders and sponsors and align and negotiate on priorities.
  • Experience working in a Regulatory environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge on systems and infrastructure in order to lead the design of reporting initiatives.
  • Contribute to projects being on schedule and meeting regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the user requirements by working with a number of key individuals from the business and IT, producing high-level business requirements and liaising with development to take these through to a detailed functional specification.
  • Ensure the team follows the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and prepare test plan and test cases for IST and UAT testing.
  • Manage business testing through the quality assurance team for key projects.
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues in all regions.
  • The incumbent must be a creative problem solver, self-starting, results-oriented and highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills in order to apply this knowledge to assist in the resolution of complex business problems and work in an Agile Environment.
  • The incumbent must possess very good interpersonal and strong communication skills in order to effectively lead and work with end users and members of the team.
  • Have knowledge of OTC derivatives products and related regulations
  • Experience working across multiple teams and functions to ensure alignment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and standards, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experience of managing projects that span change in multiple front-office systems and teams.
