Astro Hill Properties is seeking a

Senior Maintenance Technician

to support and lead day-to-day maintenance operations across our residential and commercial properties in Iqaluit, NU. This is a

hands-on, senior-level role

ideal for a skilled technician with strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to safety, quality, and tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and oversee routine and emergency maintenance tasks including: Boiler plant operations and daily system checks Maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Exterior maintenance and seasonal upkeep Responding to and resolving tenant complaints and improvements Collaborate with management on property upkeep and capital projects Ensure all building systems are compliant with safety standards and codes Maintain accurate maintenance logs and preventative maintenance schedules

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of experience in property or building maintenance, or completion of a trades program Valid Power Engineering - Class 4 certification (required) Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems Physically capable of performing hands-on tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs Proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and teamwork skills Experience in remote or northern environments is considered a strong asset
