Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will be responsible for ensuring the repair and maintenance of various machines and equipment. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with the expectation of over-time availability.


Key position functions:




Assist in direction of maintenance personnel. Assist machine operators to maintain production and minimize downtime. Manage and schedule maintenance requests and ensure proper documentation is recorded. Ensure scheduled tasks are completed in a timely manner. Maintain organized and accurate records of all maintenance performed using maintenance software system (FIIX). Troubleshoot CNC/PLC ladder systems using the machine HMI. Repair machines, change machine oil, clean tanks and strainers, change filters. Clean heat exchangers, cooling fans, motor fans and misting systems. Disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble manual and hydraulic chucks. Coordinate machine installations and relocations. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment which can include lubrication, monitoring fluid levels, and coolant concentrations. Work Overtime to complete emergency repairs as required. Ensure compliance with the Stream-Flo Guiding Principles by adhering to all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment regulations and policies. Maintain work area to an acceptable Stream-Flo standard of cleanliness. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:




Minimum 5 to 7 years of directly related experience, maintaining/repairing CNC/Conventional machines such as Mazak, Mori Seiki, and Doosan Electrical/Mechanical/Hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude (with machinery knowledge preferred). Ability to comprehend general maintenance in all aspects of a maintenance program and to understand the functioning fundamentals of the machines Ability to follow manufacturer's instructions, operation manuals and diagrams in order to diagnose or troubleshoot abnormalities Familiar with and able to operate various hand and power tools, mechanically inclined Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills Self-motivated and the ability to work in a team environment Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook); working ability with current ERP computer software preferred; knowledge of FIIX software an asset. Attention to detail and accurate record keeping. Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Able to work at heights (e.g. boom or scissor lift). Willingness to work overtime. Willing to wear a respirator when necessary.
